Jim Thorpe
Baseball · New York Giants · Outfield
Thorpe is best known as a football star and Olympic champion, but he did play six seasons of major league ball, mostly for the Giants. His collectible baseball cards are all vintage or early-20th-century issues, and none is a modern flagship rookie card. The 1916 M101-5 Sporting News #176 is the card serious collectors hunt, and its last public sales ran well into five and six figures, though the comps are from 2022 or earlier and the market is very thin.

1913 Colgan's Chips Tin Tops (E270-2) Jim Thorpe
His earliest Giants-era card and the only other major issue of him as a big leaguer besides the M101-5, so it is the key pre-rookie-style card.
No recent sold comps found. A 2007 auction of a high-grade example was reported but the price was not in my results; only dealer asking prices were found. Thin market.
