Johnny Unitas

Football · Baltimore Colts · Quarterback

The 1957 Topps #138 is the card that matters: PSA lists it as his only recognized rookie card, and it is the top vintage football card for collectors. Recent PSA auction data shows a PSA 9 sold for $92,062.50, but no PSA 10 has ever been graded, so the PSA 10 market is effectively empty; mid-grade copies (PSA 4 to 8) trade from a few hundred dollars to about $8,500. Some blogs cite 1955 or 1956 Unitas rookies with large PSA 10 values, but I could not confirm those cards, so I left them out.
