Sergei Makarov
Hockey · Calgary Flames · Right wing
Makarov is a Hall of Fame Soviet star whose 1989-90 Calder season with Calgary made him a collectible name. His Calgary-era 1990-91 Upper Deck #123 rookie is the card most buyers want, and his 1990-91 O-Pee-Chee #60 is the cheaper alternative, while the market for autographed and modern 1/1 cards is thin. Note that his Dallas Stars stint was only four games in 1996-97, so Calgary is the team collectors connect him with; the Dallas link is the least important part of his card history.
